Be sure to check out Morgan's Blog from last year: http://historicalhomes.blogspot.com/ and see if you can talk to her about it and maybe read her report. Code and zoning issues will be important with your project. You may want to talk to someone at the City about what you would have to do (permits, etc.) to convert a heritage home into suites. It may help to have a specific house.
